Zari Designs is a small independent business located in Northern California. We strive to offer the finest quality of textile products and to provide our customers with great care and attention to ensure their satisfaction with our products. We work with other local dharma students and artists and import many products from Nepal and India.

The owner, Joanne Brion, has been creating art with textiles since childhood, including wall hangings, weaving, embroidery, bead work, batik, blockprint, custom clothing, quilts, and other decorative art. She lives in Northern California with her beautiful daughter, Zari. She is also an Urban Economist. This current work is a blending of her love of textiles with her spiritual practice and path, which is Tibetan Buddhism.

Sometimes these threads are blue like our emotions, sometimes sparkling like sunshine, or deep like the rich colors of the earth. This work reminds me of how we are all connected and my primary purpose is to create peace, joy and harmony in the world."
